Overview:
AlivaMab Biologics is seeking an outstanding individual to join the Antibody Engineering Team. The successful applicant will have the responsibility to support antibody discovery and engineering projects through Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) of various samples including, but not limited to, hybridomas, single B-cells, immune repertoires, and phage libraries. The individual will also perform molecular cloning and contribute to technology development in the Molecular Biology group. This position will report to the Principal Scientist, Sequencing and Molecular Biology, and work closely with scientists in the Protein Sciences and Antibody Discovery teams.

Responsibilities:
QUALIFICATIONS
- BS in Molecular Biology, Biomedical Engineering, or a related scientific field with a minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience; or MS degree with 1-3 years of experience.
- Experience with NGS workflows and sequencing
- Experience with molecular cloning is preferred
- Ability to improve and streamline existing processes
- Operationally minded with ability to summarize and track workflow status and performance
- Highly organized including time management, planning, and documentation
- Self-motivated with the ability to work with and support multiple groups across the organization
- Experience using electronic lab notebook services (specifically Benchling is a plus).
- Prior experience in Bioinformatics and automation is a plus

Responsibilities:
- Execute NGS workflow from sample submission to sequencing analysis
- Perform data analyses and report generation (bioinformatics experience is a plus)
- Further optimize NGS workflow, troubleshoot when needed, and identify areas for improvement
- Work in close collaboration with stakeholders and project managers to address operational needs
- Document the work promptly and accurately using Electronic Lab Notebook and generate protocols and SOPs
- Manage and maintain operation inventory and lab supply
- Keep up with routine maintenance of NGS and other lab instruments
