RESEARCH ASSOCIATE II – SR. RA, BIOLOGY

Responsibilities:

  • Work under the guidance and mentorship of Scientists to evaluate novel neuroprotective therapeutics across a range of in vitro and in vivo model systems
  • Participate in the design and execution of preclinical neurodegeneration models to understand mechanism of action, PK/PD and preclinical efficacy
  • Process histological samples from preclinical animal models from sample collection to imaging/analysis
  • Develop iPSC and primary neuronal/glial cell culture assays for mechanism of action studies
  • Analyze, interpret, and communicate the results of complex experimental datasets
  • Effectively collaborate and communicate across a diverse scientific team to successfully progress scientific goals
  • Keep detailed records of experimental protocols, generate high quality data from a variety of analytical instruments, and present key findings at team meetings
  • Troubleshoot technical difficulties and implement solutions
  • Keep up to date with scientific literature relating to neurodegeneration
  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously within a functional area
