Core Qualifications and Skills

  • Master’s degree in a health or science related field OR Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate specialization (i.e., health or science related field) and 4 years of research experience
  • Experience coordinating and conducting research activities
  • Experience with qualitative data collection and analysis (i.e. surveys, focus groups)
  • Broad knowledge and understanding of the clinical environment
  • Experience extracting data from EPIC
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills and able to work with a diverse, inter-professional team
  • Strong academic writing skills (i.e. protocol development, report writing)
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize workload, handle multiple assignments effectively and meet deadline

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

The Research Associate role within IBH supports research studies and initiatives across the organization and within the community. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a multivariate stakeholder environment both independently and as part of collaborative multi-disciplinary research groups supporting various projects. This role facilitates the responsible conduct of research studies within THP including coordinating research study logistics and ethical requirements, planning and undertaking study activities including data collection, synthesis, analysis and dissemination. In this role, the successful candidate will support the Pharmacy Department’s research portfolio coordinated by Dr. Anjana Sengar, on several research projects focusing on implementation of new models of pharmacy care delivery in oncology and psychiatry, using an implementation science approach.

Responsibilities

  • Supports and coordinates the implementation and evaluation of research projects
  • Assists with the development of data collection tools (i.e. interview and focus group guides, participant feedback surveys)
  • Participant recruitment, managing informed consent processes, conducting interviews and focus groups
  • Assist with study specific research ethics and regulatory submissions
  • Support data collection, preparation, and analysis across multiple projects
  • Literature review and synthesis
  • Support knowledge dissemination activities (publications, presentations, reports)
  • Support grant writing and protocol development
  • Performs other duties as assigned or as required.
