We are looking for a Research Assistant/Associate in Artificial Intelligence for Virtual Power Plants. This Research Associate position will contribute to the EPSRC-funded ‘Virtual Power Plant with Artificial intelligence for Resilience and Decarbonisation’ (VPP-WARD) research project within the Institute for Energy Systems at the University of Edinburgh.
YOUR SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES FOR SUCCESS:
- Undergraduate and doctorate-level training in electrical/electronic engineering or a closely related field, with a strong focus on smart grids and/or artificial intelligence.
- Proven track record of research in smart grids, with a specific focus on artificial intelligence applications or a closely related area.
- Existing publication record in indexed, peer-reviewed journals and conferences, consummate with the level of research experience.
- Excellent work ethics, capable of working both independently and collaboratively with researchers from different disciplines or technical background.
- Excellent time keeping, time management and research communication skills to both expert and non-specialist audiences.
