Then join our team in R&D Enzyme Development as a Research Assistant / Research Associate (m/f/d)! There you will test and optimize enzymes for biocatalysis processes and test new molecular biological methods for use in the food and pharmaceutical industries.
The position as is limited to 1 year and can be filled part-time (with at least 30 hours per week) or full-time.
c-LEcta is a leading developer and producer of biotechnology products for regulated markets such as the food and pharmaceu-tical industries. We use state-of-the-art technologies to provide tailor-made enzymes and microbial production strains for cost-efficient industrial manufacturing processes. We are part of the Kerry Group and currently employ more than 120 people at the Alte Messe site in Leipzig.
YOUR MAIN TASKS:
- You will carry out microbiological, biochemical and genetic engineering work with the aim of enzyme optimisation and enzyme application (including PCR, cloning, enzyme expression, protein purification, DNA and protein gel electrophoresis).
- You will develop and perform assays to determine enzyme activities using different analytical methods, such as photomoetric measurements and analysis by means of HPLC, IC or GC.
- As part of the team, you will be responsible for the experimental implementation of a wide variety of methods and participate in the evaluation and interpretation of the results.
