Hiring Unit:
Prof. Morag Park’s Laboratory - The Rosalind and Morris Goodman Cancer Institute

Position Summary:

  • Develops and conducts research on Met receptor tyrosine kinase and Metdelta exon 14. Develops projects and protocols, processes and procedures as delegated by the Research Supervisor.
  • Preparation of research documentation, laboratory work, Compilation and annotation of data in database format (all cell models used with history, tumor models used and with history and linked to passage and data in notebook, raw data for proteomics, and analysed data with summary, raw data from nanostring and informatics pipeline and analysis and summary of findings, bioinformatics pipelines and raw data open to supervisor and transmitted to common Lab database by January 2025.
  • Leads the analysis and interpretation of research data and disseminates the results.
  • Writes paper on Metex14 by Dec 31, 2024.
  • Plans figures, generates figures at journal quality. Works with supervisor on a weekly basis to update Figures and text.
  • Prepares and writes grant applications.
  • Responsible for the quality and results of their own work and the work of those they oversee.
  • Performs various administrative tasks related to the project, including specialised ordering, equipment repair, incubator and CO2 gas maintenance.

Qualifications:

  • Possesses advanced specialized knowledge of the field or discipline acquired through a PhD Degree and at least five (5) years of research experience
  • Good knowledge of signal transduction and receptor tyrosine kinase signalling.
  • Knowledge of lung cancer and data analysis of spatial transcriptomics as well as proeomics.
  • Solid understanding f molecular biology techniques, vector preparation, lentivirus production.
  • Comfortable to work with mice.

Knowledge of French and English:
