Department of Chemistry

Position Summary:

• Prepare documents for publications and IPs.
• Responsible to train junior graduate students and undergraduate student members in the group on related research projects.
• Develop and conduct research projects delegated by the supervisor.
• Established the research procedure and process for the designated projects in green chemistry.
• Analyze experimental results, characterize the products and by-products, and interpret the experimental results.
• Present results on meetings and prepare documents for publications and IPs.
• Train and supervise junior members of the research group on the research projects.

Qualifications:

• Strong analytic skills and attention to detail are essential.
• Complete and consistent ethical conduct of research.
• Excellent written and communication skills.
• Demonstration of leadership.
• Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve problems effectively and in a timely manner.
• Must be a self-motivated worker who can work both autonomously and in group settings in a complex, changing, and deadline-oriented environment.

Experience and education:

• Have a PhD in synthetic chemistry and catalysis with 5 years+ postdoctoral/research experiences after receiving PhD degree.

Location: This position is located in Montreal, Quebec and the work for this position is expected to be performed in Quebec.
