Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING | NGĀ WHĀINGA MATUA
You will provide research support with a focus on human clinical trials involving various products related to human health and well-being. You will assist in a wide range of associated activities including:
- Recruitment of clinical trial participants and management of any other communications as part of the recruitment process,
- Preparation of the materials and equipment for scheduled participant visits,
- Data collection, entry, processing and analysis,
- Sample collection and processing.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- An undergraduate or Master’s degree with knowledge of molecular and cell biology, or biomedical research, or clinical research and good clinical practice with a willingness to learn laboratory research techniques.
- Practical laboratory experience and a willingness to become familiar with a range of instruments and software used to process and analyse biological samples.
- Knowledge of or familiarity with conducting human clinical trials, or an awareness of human ethics principles and an ability to follow guidelines for good clinical practice.
- Confident with the Microsoft Office package, especially Word and Excel. Some experience with software packages such as NVivo, FoodWorks and Prism would be an advantage.
- Organised, methodical and committed to effective project management and accurate record keeping.
- Good communication and data management skills.
- Able to work independently
