DESCRIPTION

Professor Alejandro Ganimian is seeking a research associate for a project seeking to estimate the impact of providing primary and secondary schools with information on their internal-efficiency (e.g., passing, repeition, dropout) rates. The two main tasks are to finish cleaning the datasets and run impact analyses in Stata. Initial contract will be for 20 hours/week for five weeks; renewal conditional on performance. The research associate can work remotely from wherever.

QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge and experience using Stata is required.

Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of the Research Associate include working with Prof. Ganimian to clean the datasets and run the impact analyses, participate in weekly check-in calls and liase with government officials on issues regarding data sharing.
In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the hourly base rate for this position is $25-$29/hour. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer.
Per NYU’s remote-work policy, this position is expected to be fully remote.
