ABOUT US

The Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS) is a large, diverse, and comprehensive unit, comprised of six Schools (Nursing, Kinesiology, Health Studies, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Communication Sciences and Disorders), a large Interdisciplinary Graduate Program in Health and Rehabilitation Sciences and four Research Centres. The Faculty has more than 3,200 undergraduate students and more than 800 graduate students (200 PhD students).
The Arthur Labatt Family School of Nursing educates nurses who are reflective practitioners and provide recognized leadership in nursing theory, research, practice, inter-professional health teaching and learning, and policy advancements.

EDUCATION

Masters degree (health-related field) required.

Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Research Assistant will support the research team in the coordination, logistical planning, data collection and data analysis alongside several community partners, service providers, and academic collaborators.

Key goals for the role include:

  • Provide logistical and communication support (e.g., schedule and facilitate team meetings)
  • Liaise with partner organization
  • Support ethics application and hospital approval
  • Submit requests for data acquisition and case costing from health institution
  • Collect data and prepare for coding and cleaning
  • Undertake quantitative data analysis

Help develop manuscripts, reports and other outputs relevant to evolving project findings
