We are seeking a talented and motivated Research Associate/Sr. Research Associate in Organic Chemistry to join our expanding team. In this role, you will report to and work closely with a Scientist from our Chemistry department, contributing to the synthesis, purification and tracking of target molecules. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in synthetic organic chemistry and a passion for advancing drug discovery initiatives.
This position is fully onsite at Circle’s South San Francisco location, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities:

  • Synthesize, purify, and characterize synthetic intermediates and final compounds on milligram-to-multigram scale using a wide range of synthetic methodologies
  • Analyze results, generate reports, and communicate findings to the Chemistry Team regularly
  • Collaborate with the Chemistry Team to develop new synthetic approaches and methodologies
  • Maintain accurate and up to date electronic notebook documentation of laboratory activities
  • Independently operate and oversee maintenance of selected lab equipment
  • Be an active contributor to the efforts of our Chemistry Team, including opportunities to contribute to compound designs
