EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

  • Minimum of a Master’s degree in an engineering (Biological, Biosystems, Bioresource, other) or agricultural (Crop or Plant Science, Livestock or Animal Science, Economics, other) discipline from an accredited, post-secondary institution.
  • Extensive (5+ years) research proposal and grant application writing experience including literature review, hypothesis development, and research design.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills as demonstrated through publication of scientific research.
  • Evidence of project management training, application or professional certification would be considered an asset.
  • Designation as a bona fide professional engineer (P.Eng.) or engineer-in-training (E.I.T.), professional agrologist (P.Ag.) or agrologist-in-training (A.I.T.), is desirable.
