The University of Sheffield’s School of Biosciences seeks a passionate individual to join a collaborative research team working on climate change mitigation.
This position is part of a UKRI-funded project that examines potential unintended consequences of large-scale land-based CO2 removal strategies; it will focus on the expansion of oil palm plantation as bioenergy crop and their impacts on climate and atmospheric composition, including potential implications for air quality, human and vegetation health. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to global efforts towards Net Zero emissions and advance our understanding of climate solutions.
Applicants must have a PhD (or equivalent experience) in atmospheric, earth sciences or related field and sufficient depth of specialist knowledge in the discipline to deliver world class research.
