  • PhD in biology, biomedical sciences, immunology, or equivalent experience
  • Home office personal licence specifying rodents (or equivalent if not from the UK)
  • Knowledge in immunology and a range of related research techniques and methodologies
  • Hands-on experience with in vivo models
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate the requirements of the project

Responsibilities:

You will pursue a project aimed at understanding how dendritic cells contribute to anti-tumour immune response and the control of tumour growth in brain metastases, including in the context of immune checkpoint blockade. To this end, you will be studying dendritic cell-dependent anti-tumour immune responses at the cellular and molecular level, integrating findings from molecular profiling, functional ex vivo assays, in vivo studies in preclinical models of brain metastases, followed by validation of findings in human brain metastases tissue.
Funding is available for up to 30 months.
