We are seeking a Research Collections Analyst who will be responsible for the collection and follow-up of client receivables in accordance with contractual agreements.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associate degree (2 yr program) required; bachelor’s degree (4 yr program) preferred
  • 1-year prior collections experience, preferably in a clinical trial research or healthcare-related environment
  • Knowledge of billing principles and practices sufficient to apply the company’s invoicing policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of revenue cycle functions
  • Knowledge of research techniques to analyze and evaluate financial data and information
  • Proficiency with PC-based spreadsheet and word processing programs
  • Effective organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work efforts
  • Ability to read and comprehend complex documents and apply appropriate billing concepts
  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Ability to develop effective and professional communication, both verbal and written
  • Ability to interact with other individuals at all levels of management
  • Ability to organize work independently and thrive as a team member

Responsibilities:

  • Follow-up on accounts as needed to ensure timely payments are received from sponsors
  • Maintaining a strong business relationship with the sponsors by being the primary contact and the voice of HRI as it relates to the collection and payment of receivables
  • Verify payments received from pharmaceutical companies against billed activity to ensure cash posting accuracy
  • Facilitate A/R write offs and route needed contractual amendments to Budgets & Contracts when they are determined to be needed
  • Review, interpret, and discuss contracts with clients to assist with resolving payment issues
  • Work with accounting staff to resolve billing questions as needed
  • Work with billing staff to ensure accuracy of postings
  • Assist operations with financial information requests and questions
  • Files correspondence from sponsors, checks, and other documents as necessary
  • Maintains files in an organized and accessible manner to include updating information, purging files on a regular basis and creating new filing systems as needed
