Description:

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Successful completion a Bachelor’s Degree or diploma in Health Sciences or related field of study
  • Minimum 1 year recent related experience in a similar role; preferably in a research environment
  • Include any computer skills or program knowledge required and level of proficiency
  • Include soft skills required, i.e. interpersonal, communication, organizational time management, attention to detail, prioritization, etc.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to the principles of patient and family centred care
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to patient and staff safety at LHSC
  • Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis
  • Current GCP Certificate, knowledge of TCPS2, Health Canada Division 5 Training, TDA/IATA, Lawson CORE SOPs
  • Familiar with Health Canada and Food and Drug regulations and knowledge of ICH guidelines
  • Ability to interact with paediatric patients and perform all study related procedures for various study protocols
  • Ability to manage numerous clinical trials simultaneously
  • Demonstrated familiarity with Microsoft programs such as Excel and Outlook etc.
  • Experience with Cerner, PowerChart, & RedCAP software programs an asset
  • Attention to detail particularly when following study protocols, developing data measures and resolving data anomalies
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to the principles of patient and family centered care
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to patient and staff safety at LHSC
  • Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis

IMMUNIZATION REQUIREMENTS:

Before beginning employment at LHSC, all new hires will be required to:

  • Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing (two step);

Responsibilities:

  • Study participant screening, obtaining informed consent and enrolling patients into clinical trials
  • Coordinating and conducting study related procedures, interventions and assessments
  • Study Drug administration (oral, intranasal or IV)
  • Reviewing adverse events with Principle Investigators
  • Coordinating patient follow-up visits, assessments and tests
  • Data collection and date entry into REDCap
  • Other duties as assigned
    Rate of Pay: To commensurate with experience
    Hours of Work: 15 hours per week
    Duration: 1 year renewable
