Job Description
The Institute for Mental Health Policy Research (IMHPR) at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is currently seeking a full-time, contract (1 year) Research Coordinator. Reporting to the Principal Investigator, the Research Coordinator will work on the Scaling Up Maternal Mental healthcare by Increasing access to Treatment (SUMMIT) Trial, led by a Senior Scientist at CAMH. SUMMIT is a project that endeavors to implement and evaluate the delivery of a brief, evidence-based, psychological treatment of behavioural activation for perinatal depression and anxiety.
Key Accountabilities:

The Research Coordinator will collaborate with the research team and investigators in the coordination of the database and the administration, collection, coordination, processing and quality control of clinical trial data. The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Oversee data entry and data management (REDCap)
  • Oversee data analysis among study team members
  • Provide database training to, and supervision of, data management/entry staff as well as training study team members on an as needed basis.
  • Coordinate with contracted information technology consultants/companies on an as needed basis to ensure the proper functioning of server, computers, databases
  • Maintenance of resource directory in multiple platforms – database, online, etc
  • Conduct regular meetings with Principal Investigator(s) and research study team to communicate up-to-date information on data management

This position is located within the Institute for Mental Health Policy Research (IMHPR) located at 60 White Squirrel Way, Queen Street Site.
Job Requirements

The successful candidate will possess a Master’s in psychology, health systems, or relevant discipline with 2 years relevant research experience.

  • Must have a strong understanding and expertise in working with REDCap
  • Must have demonstrated experience in statistical analysis. SAS software experience preferred.
  • Must have a strong ability to exercise sound judgment, independence and initiative
  • Exceptional communication skills (verbal, written and presentation) and be comfortable engaging and exchanging information with a multi-disciplinary team
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem solving abilities with strong attention to detail Demonstrated experience supervising and coordinating staff
  • Excellent time management skills

The candidate should be able to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team, and work effectively in a variety of settings with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
