Responsibilities:

The VCU Cohort and Registry Administration (CARA) Core houses prominent research registries, which are some of the largest in the country - the Mid-Atlantic Twin Registry (MATR) and Spit for
Science (S4S). These registries carry out research functions for internal and external investigators and support VCU’s national prominence in research. CARA Core services include data and
sample collection via mail, email, phone, and in-person methods as well as providing access to secondary data for qualified investigators.
The CARA Core is currently seeking to hire a Research Coordinator to support a variety of tasks across the CARA registries. The CARA Research Coordinator will coordinate research and registry projects, carry out tasks for IRB submissions, provide compensation to research participants,
conduct look-ups, process mailed items, data entry and cleaning tasks, and assist in developing assorted communication materials. They will also coordinate large-scale events and campaigns to promote the registries, collect data, and collect DNA when applicable. This position will also support secondary data access for the registries by coordinating data access requests, and tracking data sharing and impact metrics for reporting purposes. The Research Coordinator may also support special projects, field communications from registry participants, process data entry tasks, administrative tasks, and initiatives for the CARA Core. This position will handle confidential data and requires attention to detail and high organization skills.
