POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Research Data Analyst will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and managing data to support various research initiatives. This position involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy and relevance, creating reports, dashboards, and visualizations that inform key business decisions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, proficiency with data tools, and experience with project management platforms like SmartSheets and Monday.com.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience in data analysis, with a focus on ETL processes and data visualization.
  • Proficiency with data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, or R, and experience with ETL tools like Alteryx, Talend, or Apache NiFi.
  • Expertise in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with project management and collaboration tools like SmartSheets and Monday.com.
  • Strong understanding of data quality management and the ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve data-related issues.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present data insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • DATA COLLECTION & ETL PROCESSES:Perform Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes to gather data from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and quality. Clean, organize, and prepare data for analysis.
  • DATA ANALYSIS:Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support research objectives and business goals. Apply statistical methods where applicable.
  • DATA VISUALIZATION:Create dynamic and interactive data visualizations using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms to communicate findings clearly and effectively to stakeholders.
  • REPORT GENERATION:Develop comprehensive reports that summarize key findings, recommendations, and actionable insights based on the data analysis. Tailor reports for different audiences, including executives and project teams.
  • PROJECT MANAGEMENT TOOLS:Use SmartSheets and Monday.com to manage and track research projects, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and workflows are well-coordinated across teams.
  • CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COLLABORATION:Work closely with data scientists, researchers, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure the integrity of data used in decision-making.
  • DATA QUALITY ASSURANCE:Conduct regular audits of data sources and processes to ensure data accuracy and consistency. Identify any discrepancies and work to resolve them efficiently.
  • AD HOC ANALYSIS:Provide on-demand data analysis for special projects, research initiatives, or business inquiries, offering insights that drive decision-making.
