Research Engineer II (Hybrid)

JOB SUMMARY

The H. Milton Stewart School of Industrial & Systems Engineering at Georgia Tech invites applications for a non-tenure track Research Faculty position at the Research Engineer II level.
This position will engage with the Center for Health and Humanitarian Systems and perform research in a variety of areas, including health care modeling and analytics, using (and advancing as needed) methodologies such as optimization, simulation, and statistical modeling.
Potential research/project topics include (but are not limited to) infectious and non-infectious disease modeling, evaluating interventions, and resource allocation to improve health outcomes; medical decision-making; health systems process design and improvement.
This is a hybrid role.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• A Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, and three (3) years of relevant full-time experience after completion of that degree, or
• A Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, and five (5) years of relevant full-time experience after completion of a Bachelor’s degree, or
• A Doctoral Degree

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Conducting research.
• Mentoring graduate and undergraduate students.
• Overseeing software development.
• Leading or participate in grant-writing.
• Managing relations with academic and industrial partners.
• Engaging in education as an instructor or advising senior design teams.
