Our team is on the lookout for a Research Executive to join our growing Global Research Strategy Team in London. In this role, you will work alongside a global, cross-functional team including other Research Managers, Researchers, Senior Data Analyst as well as with teams across our global network of offices and parent company Songtradr.
Your ultimate mission is to help brands tap into the impact of music and sound through in-depth music and cultural research and analysis, as well as objective sound-focused testing.
As a member of our team, you will have the task of successfully supporting the research team on client research projects. Just like a composer shaping a symphony, you’ll collaborate closely with our research team, from digging up juicy insights on audience trends and brand music use, to supporting with programming and delivering actionable insight reports for our client consumer studies. You’ll also have a special talent for finding industry examples of brands using music in an inspiring or effective way.
Want to know more first? Let us tell you in a nutshell what we’re all about. Focussed on assessing, validating and predicting the impact of music and sound for brands and agencies, we operate at the intersection of science, creativity, technology and craft, empowering brands and agencies with rich audio-focussed data and insights that drive tangible brand results. From neuroscience-based experiments to quick-turn AI-powered music testing and strategic music and sound audits, you must be passionate about learning how to maximise the true impact music and sound can have for a brand.
Are you someone who loves to take a deep dive into the data, is always eager to learn more and isn’t afraid to step outside your comfort zone? Then we’ll be a perfect fit.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • You have experience finding, analysing and presenting research insights from different sources, including online sources (eg. Statista, GWI) as well as music content on platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and more.
  • Survey programming and quantitative/qualitative data analysis hold no secrets for you
  • You like working in creative environments and you understand how to marry science and art in a harmonious way that always champions the creative process
  • You have excellent interpersonal influence skills and are able to maintain trust across a diverse group of individuals
  • You have an intellectual thirst for understanding how humans feel and behave, as well as how music and sound influence the human mind, and the implications of this knowledge for business
  • Organisation is your middle name – you are able to manage a large number of activities and stakeholders simultaneously
  • Bonus if you have demonstrated success in a research or insights function, either within a brand, market research firm, creative music agency or music technology company
