JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the OVPR, this position oversees the HKRB building operations, mailroom, dock and freight elevator management, including coordination/communication of building systems maintenance as it impacts occupants. This position will also manage other space as needed that is assigned to the OVPR, including the 5th floor of the Lee Todd Jr. Building, 845 Angliana, BSL3 lab in HSRB and research surge space within the Jacob Science Building. The Research Facility Manager will assist the OVPR in managing facilities space, including occupants’ information, utilization of space and management of badge and key requests. The Research Facility Manger will be responsible for ensuring that all expenditure decisions are within budget and will manage the HKRB operating budget. This position often performs duties outside of the normal area of expertise to meet the mission and foals of the UK Research Facilities and OVPR so flexibility and teamwork are important.
IEBC (Internal Employee Being Considered).

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES

  • MS Windows/Office; SAP
  • Driver’s License — Preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the daily operations of the loading dock and the organization of goods arriving and leaving the building.
  • Prior experience with shipping and logistics — Preferred
  • Knowledge of maintenance; construction; and renovation-related job tasks — Preferred
