Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Research Fellow will assist in designing, conducting, and interpreting large-scale clinical trials and systematic reviews with an overall goal of developing evidence-based recommendations that will improve the health of millions of women and men, both in the UK and more broadly.
Multiple Long-Term Conditions (a.k.a. Multimorbidity) or the coexistence of two or more health conditions in an individual has been overlooked as an important cause of early death and disability
One of our aims of is to determine whether treatment of specific diseases is affected by the presence of other diseases in multimorbid condition clusters and to conduct efficient clinical trials to test potential preventive and therapeutic interventions for men and women with multiple, long-term conditions.

WHAT YOU WOULD BE DOING

  • Design clinical trials within the field of multimorbidity.
  • Conduct individual research, analysing detailed large-scale clinical trial data.
  • Communicate research findings in the form of scientific publications, policy reports, conferences, or public meetings.
  • Contribute to the BRC multimorbidity theme activities and meetings.
  • Coordinate with other BRC thematic collaborators across Imperial College London.
  • Share responsibility for shaping the research group’s plans and the writing of group-funding applications for new research projects.
