Description:

Responsibilities:

Applications are invited for a Research Fellow to work in the group of Prof. Graham Worth in the Department of Chemistry at University College London. The post is funded through an EPSRC Grant to study the non-adiabatic photochemistry of molecules in complex environments. The work is part of a team together with groups, both experimental and theoretical, at UCL, Bristol, Durham and Oxford. The postholder will (i) study the photo-activated dynamics of a number of prototype chromophores in the gas phase using quantum dynamics simulations (ii) extend these studies to include solvation effects into the calculations (iii) to simulate measurable signals on a range of molecules that will be compared to experiments carried out by our collaborators. The role is an open-ended contract with a funding end date of 30th September 2025, starting as soon as possible. A Job Description and Person Specification can be accessed at the bottom of this page. Please include a publication list and a CV, along with a cover letter outlining why you are interested in the role. To apply for the vacancy please click on the ‘Apply Now’ button below. Informal enquiries should be addressed to Prof. Graham Worth (g.a.worth@ucl.ac.uk). Any queries on the application process can be directed to hr.chem@ucl.ac.uk
