Research Fellow (Mechanical/Materials/Manufacturing Engineering)

The School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering (MAE) invites applications for the position of Research Fellow.
The Research Fellow is expected to help the principal investigator to carry out a research project on additive manufacturing to meet the deliverables and KPIs and communicate with the industrial collaborator.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the project with the defined milestones and deliverables
• Carry out hands-on experiments to meet deliverables and KPIs
• Write and prepare communications content and interface with the industry

Job Requirements:

• PhD degree in the area of Mechanical, Materials or Manufacturing Engineering
• Experimental skills in microstructural characterization, including metallograph and EBSD
• Experimental skills in mechanical testing
• Demonstrated experience in additive manufacturing
• Knowledge of the relationship between microstructures and mechanical properties of metallic materials.
• Proven record of good research performance with publications in reputable international journals.
