Research Fellow/Research Associate (Mechanical Engineering, Physics)

at  NANYANG TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY

The Singapore Centre for 3D Printing (SC3DP) is looking for a motivated researcher or engineer to work on development of the hardware and software tools for a monitoring system of Wire Arc manufacturing. The ideal candidate should have expertise in mechanical engineering including implementation of optical components and sensors, data and image processing, and numerical simulation. Knowledge of 3D printing technologies will be highly valuable in this project.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for designing experimental setups, conducting experiments, and analysing experimental results.
• Responsible for setting up numerical simulations and conducting numerical studies.
• Responsible for assisting the PI with paper and proposal preparation beside conducting research work.
• Responsible for assisting junior staffs in the group to carry out research works.

Job Requirements:

• PhD or Masters in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or similar degrees.
• Experienced in design and conducting mechanical engineering experiments
• Experienced using MATLAB, Python, and simulation software.
• Having some experience in using 3D printers and design software.
