Description:
Position is available at the Postdoctoral Fellow level to join an established laboratory. Duties include:
- Executing planned experiments as directed
- Maintain supplies and equipment needed to conduct daily work plan
- Report progress and results to PI in a timely and coherent fashion
- Devising alternate approaches, should they be necessary.
- Analyzing data and determining next logical steps in experimental plan to answer desired questions.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office is mandatory.
Applicant will be responsible to coordinate and conduct experiments as well as anticipate and solve technical problems. Must possess good communication skills and a strong ability to work well with others as part of a team, as well as work independently and troubleshoot problems as they arise.
Note: This position relies on grant funding which may limit the duration of the job. Specific time frames vary based on the type and length of the grant and will be discussed during the interview.
The Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine (WFIRM) is recognized as an international leader in translating scientific discovery into clinical therapies. Physicians and scientists at WFIRM were the first in the world to engineer laboratory-grown organs that were successfully implanted into humans.
