Description:
Trilateral Research is recruiting for a Research Finance Administrator to join our remote Research Finance team in Ireland. As part of this team, you will provide research and financial administration support for our colleagues, clients and stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate record keeping and management.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Required education and experience:
Essential:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in administration or accounting roles in a fast-paced professional environment.
- Experience working with finance and accountancy software (e.g. QuickBooks/Concur).
- NFQ Level 5/equivalent in relevant accounting/finance/administration course.
- Irish Leaving Certificate with a minimum of four higher level subjects passed including English and Maths, at grade C3 or above.
Desirable:
- Previous experience in research management support in higher education sector or similar environments.
- Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Previous remote-working experience.
Professional knowledge and technical skills:
Essential:
- Excellent IT skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft packages including Excel, Word and Outlook, Teams.
- Confident in numerical skills.
- Proven ability to collate information from diverse sources and compile reports.
Desirable:
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Working knowledge of SharePoint.
Interpersonal skills:

WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO KNOW?

Hours: Full-time
Responsibilities:
- Support the preparation of timely and accurate financial claims for research projects e.g. staff expense claims, external stakeholders’ claims.
- Review, correct and manage all staff timesheets related to research projects and the monthly sign off process.
- Review the consistency of research staff leave records between internal systems.
- Set-up new budgets in the financial system.
- Assist with the creation of interim financial progress reports for research projects.
- Assist with travel related expenses for external parties attending research project events and meetings.
- In collaboration with the Corporate Finance team, review and file monthly pay slips into auditable files.
- Input accurate data for grant applications and reporting.
- Manage the electronic filing of research and financial records and manage shared mailboxes.
- Support the Research team in planning and hosting meetings and events as required.
- Over time, develop a comprehensive understanding of financial elements of Funder Terms & Conditions, supported by internal and external training.
