A unique and exciting fixed term secondment opportunity has arisen for an exceptional individual to be appointed as a Research Funding, Finance and Contracts Officer.
This role will suit a self-motivated individual with strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills, the ability to think laterally and work with minimal day to day supervision.
The post holder will require excellent communication skills, have a positive and flexible approach to the needs of the Service, be motivated, ready for the next challenge and enjoy working as part of a very busy team.

The key duties as follows

  • Act as the first point of contact in the Support and Delivery Centre for queries relating to research Funding, Finance and Contracts
  • Ensure the effective and efficient day to day running of the research Funding, Finance and Contracts service
  • Provide support, advice and guidance on Research Funding, Finance and Contracting to stakeholders, including NHS Research & Delivery offices, delivery staff and sponsors (commercial and non-commercial).
  • Support the Health and Care Research Wales infrastructure in the completion of UK-wide tools and templates in relation to R&D Funding, Finance and Contracts.
  • Support the Research Contracts Manager in the review of a wide range of contractual agreements (commercial and non-commercial).
