Description:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Grade 5 (Hourly)
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Research Grants Coordinator IV will provide support to the Health Science Campus Research Office in the submission of extramural grant proposals for several schools on the Health Science Campus. The selected candidate will meet individually with investigators to discuss the grant application requirements, draft budgets, prepare internal forms for institutional approval, and complete the proposal paperwork for submission.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Works with faculty and others to prepare grant proposal forms �and assists with development of competitive proposals, budgets, and submissions.
- Communicates with external funding offices to clarify policies, procedures, and deadlines. Interprets and explains funding agency and campus requirements.� Provides training and education to researchers on the proper policies and procedures per University, State, Federal, and Sponsor guidelines.
- Prepares internal forms to secure institutional approvals for submission.
- Reviews proposals for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with funding agency and campus regulations.
- Participates in relevant trainings and workshops/conferences/seminars designed to increase knowledge of professional research administration concepts and practices.
- Other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with federal grant applications and with state and federal grant regulations.
- Experience with Cayuse, Assist, and Workspace platforms.
