Could you be our new Research Integrity Associate Editor? Are you?

  • Are you interested in research integrity and publishing ethics?
  • Do you have journals publishing experience and understand peer review processes and workflows? Or do you have a strong research background?
  • Are you familiar with online manuscript submission systems (preferably ScholarOne)?
  • Do you have excellent prioritisation skills and a high level of adaptability?
  • Highly organised with a keen eye for detail?
  • A strong and collaborative communicator, with strong problem solving skills?

In this role, you will:

  • Supports the Research Integrity Manager in resolving publication ethics cases in line with COPE guidelines and Sage policies.
  • Communicates with journal authors, editors, reviewers and institutions on behalf of SAGE in investigating publication ethics cases.
  • Communicates with Editorial and Peer Review teams to bring publication ethics cases to resolution.
  • Uses appropriate judgement in escalating cases where necessary, ensuring that key internal stakeholders are apprised of situations that may pose a risk to Sage.
  • Works with the Research Integrity Manager to identify potential improvements in workflows for publication ethics investigations.
  • Organises large volumes of sensitive and confidential information for working on publication ethics cases in line with GDPR regulations.
  • Maintains successful relationships with global Editorial, Peer Review and Legal teams.

Contributes to internal discussions on publication ethics, development of internal and external resources around research integrity and peer review.
