Research Laboratory Technician I

Creighton University is seeking to hire a full-time Research Laboratory Technician I.
Fresh graduates and researchers with experience in other fields are welcome to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform basic molecular biology techniques (including PCR, RNA/DNA/protein extraction), immunohistochemistry and tissue culture.
• Assist in the maintenance of laboratory records and data collection.
• Work independently and collaboratively with the research team.
• Handle and work with mice as part of experimental procedures.
• Contribute to ongoing research projects and assist in the preparation of experimental reports.

Qualifications:

• Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in a scientific discipline is required.
• Knowledge of molecular biology and biochemistry is preferred.
• Experience in basic molecular biology techniques (e.g., PCR, RNA/DNA/protein extraction) and cell culture is desirable.

Skills:

• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• Strong skills in data collection and laboratory record-keeping.
• Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and interact effectively with the research team.
• Willingness to work with mice in a laboratory setting.
