Description:

Oxford Population Health (Nuffield Department of Population Health) contains world-renowned population health research groups and provides an excellent environment for multi-disciplinary research and teaching. The Clinical Trial Service Unit (CTSU) is a major international research institute within Oxford Population Health, and is one of the world’s leading centres for research into chronic diseases, especially heart disease, kidney disease and cancer.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Research Nurse to work on the ‘Heart Studies Group’ portfolio of trials. The successful applicant will join our established team of Research Nurses and Clinicians, working on a portfolio of studies at CTSU. Areas of responsibility will include working as part of the team to manage the Oxford telephone and on-site trial clinics.
To be considered for this role you will be a first level registered nurse with full current UK NMC registration, and possess excellent communication skills, a flexible approach to problem solving, evidence of the ability to show initiative and work independently, and good computer skills. You will also have some knowledge of diabetes and cardiovascular disease, and experience of undertaking structured assessments in a clinical or research setting (e.g. interviewing face-to-face or by telephone).
The post is full time (although part time will be considered) and fixed-term for 2 years in the first instance.
The closing date for applications is noon on 2 October 2024.
You will be required to upload a CV and Supporting Statement as part of your online application. The Supporting Statement should include a cover letter and should also clearly describe how you meet each of the selection criteria listed in the job description
