WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are seeking a Registered Nurse with essential knowledge of research governance to support research into inherited cardiomyopathies (HCM and DCM). The role involves patient recruitment, sample/data collection, and processing for clinical studies across multiple London hospital sites. Desirable attributes include knowledge of genetics and genomics, and cardiovascular biology, including inherited cardiovascular conditions. Candidates must have a valid nursing registration and experience in clinical research.
In addition, we are looking for someone who can:
- Communicate well, someone who can approach and talk to patients sensitively and supportively.
- Collect accurate research data, can identify suitable patients and process and track biological samples
- Participate in research meetings and stay updated with advancements in cardiovascular genetics
- Ensure adherence to ethical guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality.

WHAT YOU WOULD BE DOING
At the NHLI, we work in partnership with several hospitals around London, closely partnered with Royal Brompton Hospital & Imperial College Health NHS Trust. We specialise in advanced imaging, genetic research, and integrating together with health data to improve patient care
As a Clinical Research Nurse, you will play a meaningful role in recruiting patients for clinical studies, collecting and processing research samples, and ensuring the smooth execution of our projects. You will join the Research Delivery team, based primarily between Royal Brompton Hospital & Hammersmith Hospital. Patient recruitment takes place across several London sites and the role will require some flexibility.
This role involves collaboration with top clinicians, researchers, and external partners, providing an excellent opportunity to contribute to high-impact research and develop research skills.
