ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

The Department of Paediatrics encourages staff to develop their skills by offering all staff ten paid days of professional development each year. The department also has a departmental policy where staff can apply for funding or additional days for training courses to support their professional development. Please be aware, the University has introduced a pensionable Oxford University Weighting of £1,500 a year (pro rata) for all staff on grades 1–10 of the main salary and grading structure which will be implemented in the September 2024 payroll and backdated to 1 August 2024. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced research nurse to join the team at Oxford Vaccine Group, University of Oxford. You will work autonomously to deliver a single trial, taking responsibility for the trial management from the budget through to the sample collection. You will be working closely with a Play and Admin Assistant and will be responsible for the support and line management or supervision for that individual.
Visits will take place across the UK (expected to be England and Wales primarily), in family homes.
The post is 0.5 full-time equivalent and requires flexibility in working days and hours to maximise sample collection. The post is fixed-term to 1 March 2029.
