Description:
THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking a dedicated Research Officer to provide high-quality research support to our Brain Recovery and Rehabilitation Research Group within the Department of Neuroscience. This exciting opportunity involves supporting the PROMOTE Trial, a MRFF-funded implementation trial in stroke rehabilitation, based in Sydney to support NSW Health sites.
Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE:
As a Research Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting the successful delivery of the PROMOTE Trial by:
- Conducting file audits, trial coordination, and data entry
- Managing research administration tasks and scheduling bookings
- Ensuring compliance with research protocols and regulatory requirements
- Assisting in documentation preparation, literature reviews, and data analysis
- Maintaining a safe and compliant research environment
- Collaborating with clinicians, researchers, and patient participants
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate research tasks such as booking appointments, medical record audits, and data input
- Stay updated with the latest developments and best practices in stroke rehabilitation
- Assist in preparing research reports, conducting literature reviews, and analysing data
- Adhere to research protocols, regulatory policies, and safety standards
- Support project administration in line with agreed standards and timeframes
- Foster effective communication with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve research objectives
About You: We are looking for a motivated individual with:
- A tertiary qualification in a relevant rehabilitation field, or substantial relevant experience
- Experience in stroke rehabilitation, particularly upper limb rehabilitation
- Strong analytical and technical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- The capacity to work both independently and collaboratively
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
- High-level computer literacy and adaptability to new software
