EXPERIENCE WITH THE BELOW IS DESIRABLE, BUT NOT ESSENTIAL:
- Understanding of amyloid beta and Alzheimer’s disease.
- Experience in applying biochemical techniques to neuroscience.
- Molecular biologist background.
- Excellent track record of publication.
Responsibilities:
The candidate will be responsible for:
- Develop LCMS methods for drugs/molecules of interest.
- Perform proteomics/metabolomics/lipidomics analysis.
- Develop CSF and blood biomarkers for the early detection of neurodegenerative diseases.
- Preparation of scientific papers and repots to present at conferences as required and publication in peer reviewed journals.
- Attendance of weekly laboratory meetings and participation in discussion.
- Daily maintenance of the laboratory including maintaining lab supplies.
- Maintenance and running of laboratory equipment including developing standard operation procedures and safety standards.
- The supervision of students and staff as required.

This position is a fixed term, full-time time role. The role attracts an annual salary offer ranging from Research Officer Level 1 (RO1) $91,681 to Research Officer Level 3 (RO3) $98,416, commensurate with experience.
