About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Research Officer to join our GP Training Research team, supporting high-quality educational research and initiatives for the Australian General Practice Training (AGPT) program. In this role, you’ll:
Plan, manage, and undertake research projects, including study design, data collection, and analysis to support RACGP’s mission.
Engage with medical educators, general practices, and GP registrars to build research capacity and explore relevant ground-up research ideas.
Collaborate with stakeholders and produce high-quality research outputs, including reports, conference presentations, and publications.
Drive research dissemination activities, translating findings into educational practice improvements within regional settings.
Skills & Experience
Tertiary qualification in health, education, or a related field, with postgraduate studies (or equivalent experience) including quantitative or qualitative research methods.
Proven experience in data collection, collation, and analysis, with strong statistical and research skills.
High-level written and verbal communication skills for report writing, publication, and stakeholder engagement.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of ethics requirements and research grant processes, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and data integrity.
