EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Education:
- Chemical Technology Diploma, Engineering Technology Diploma, Power Engineering certification or similar is considered an asset.
Experience:
- Experience: 2-4 years of plant operations experience in pulp and paper, water treatment, oil and gas or similar industrial environment.
- 2+ years experience in an industrial or laboratory setting
- Experience in an R&D environment considered an asset.
- Knowledge of safe industrial work practices

Responsibilities:
THIS ROLE REQUIRES TO BE ONSITE IN SQUAMISH, BC.
- This role is permanent full-time and requires occasional night shifts and weekend shifts based on research needs.
Responsibilities
- Operate research equipment as required.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for plant operations as required.
- Execute, assess and sign-off on proper LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out) procedures.
- Complete modification/upgrade work packages and other tasks as detailed.
- Perform lab sampling and analysis to monitor and control plant performance.
- Adjust process parameters to achieve targeted results outlined in test plans.
- Execute troubleshooting analysis of research equipment.
- Perform safety checks and audits.
- Monitor parameters using HMI and routine plant walk throughs.
- Monitor, adjust, and complete modifications on equipment.
- Provide input for or complete reports.
- Label and tag plant equipment.
- Operate mobile equipment such as forklift and boom lift
