POSITION SUMMARY

Exciting research positions are available studying a novel cell death pathway, Lysoptosis, in a well-established, internationally renowned multi-PI lab. Since the discovery of this new pathway in C. elegans, we are now using cutting edge technologies, such as CRISPR screening, proximity labeling, live cell imaging, super resolution microscopy and automated high-content drug screening, to further elucidate the fundamental molecular mechanisms and pathophysiology of this pathway in multiple model systems (C. elegans, mice and human cell lines). The ultimate goal of the lab is to use our understanding to treat diseases in which lysoptosis plays a significant role, such as lung infections, inflammatory diseases of the bowel, lysosomal storage diseases and cancer.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education.
