Job Description
Responsibilities:
- A Master’s degree in a relevant numerate discipline, or relevant professional experience, is essential with a PhD being desirable.
- Prior experience of monitoring and evaluating research, particularly in the context of the UK Research Excellence Framework or similar, with the ability to work with and assemble complex data sets into integrated, user-friendly resources.
- Knowledge and experience in using, configuring, and supporting current research information systems and research management systems such as Pure, Worktribe, Symplectic Elements, etc.
- Strong ability to aggregate, interpret, and present complex information clearly and concisely to senior managers and research leaders, including drafting policies and strategic documents.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills with the capacity to develop and maintain effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, influence strategy, and participate in relevant projects and committees.
- A good understanding of the national and international research and innovation landscape and the role of national research assessment including the UK research Excellence framework, ideally gained by supporting a faculty, UoA or institutional submission to REF2014 or REF2021.
