JOB SUMMARY

Will work with an interdisciplinary team, to carry out high throughput data analysis and data integration across various domains and will develop novel methods for genomic data analysis.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or related field.
OR
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of three years of equivalent experience in a related field.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bioinformatics training and experience in development of algorithms and analytic approaches for genomic and proteomic data analysis and integration.

KNOWLEDGE

Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases. Knowledge of database development and maintenance and the development of web applications.

SKILLS

Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

ABILITIES

Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to work independently with a high degree of professionalism.

Responsibilities:

THE DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

Bioinformatics: Perform quality bioinformatics analysis of high throughput genomic data and assist others in the interpretation of analyzed data.
Develop Software: Development of software and/or algorithms in support of research projects. These algorithms could include analytical, statistical, and procedural algorithms for processing data.
IT Support: Center computer support and backup to daily IT operations.
Analytical Models: Development of computational/analytical models and theories in support of research projects.
Other: Perform all other related duties/tasks as assigned.
