Research project manager (2 year fixed-term appointment)
beginning 1.1.2025 as per agreement at Aalto University Otaniemi in Espoo, Finland.

Requirements
An ideal candidate has a master’s degree in business, finance, economics, statistics, or a related field. Excellent project management skills demonstrated by earlier experience are a must. The candidate should also convey a strong drive, independence, problem-solving skills, and a desire to work with a strong research group in household finance.
The position creates a natural, but optional and pending on qualifications, path to complete a doctoral degree in finance. A candidate already enrolled or completed a doctoral program could be considered, but emphasis is on the project management skills. Experience in survey methods, and econometrics are considered as a plus. Strong command of English is expected.

Key tasks of the research project manager are:

  • Coordinating and implementing collection of global survey for household beliefs and preferences, including pilot testing of the survey in different languages
  • Documentation of survey data and methodology
  • Setting up infrastructure for re-administering future survey waves
  • Preparing funding applications, coordinating project budget, creating, and updating project website, and acting as first point of contact for the project
  • Scientific analysis of the survey data for an academically oriented candidate

Salary
Salary will be set according to qualifications of the candidate. An indicative salary range begins from 2550 euros and is higher for an experienced project manager with relevant experience. The position includes occupational healthcare.
