DIGEST-JA: RESEARCH DIETITIAN

We are seeking an enthusiastic, hard-working, and self-motivated bilingual Registered Dietitian to join our research team evaluating the role of diet, as mediated by the gut microbiome, on childhood arthritis disease activity: a feasibility intervention study. You will work closely with clinical staff including the principal investigator, Dr. Brian Feldman, dietitian, Inez Martincevic, collaborators from the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition, Dr. Jessie Hulst and Dr. Amanda Ricciuto, as well as research coordinators.

Responsibilities:

  • Educate participants about the Mediterranean diet as the diet intervention for the study
  • Support meal planning for the Mediterranean diet in Canada, including the use of meal kit delivery services
  • Assess and support adherence to the Mediterranean diet as the diet intervention for the study
  • Facilitate intake recalls
  • Evaluate food intake journals
  • Analyze food intake journals using nutrition software programs for nutritional content and composition
  • Collaborate with the research team regarding data storage
