Description:

Fusion Technologies, Inc. is a privately held company with global operations and a diverse team of professionals from chemists to engineers. Our core business is formulating specialty chemistry for oil and gas well servicing in conjunction with providing technical support in a fast paced and dynamic environment. In our near 15 years of operating, we have grown from serving Canadian clients to international ones.
Fusion is currently seeking a full-time Research Scientist to join the team in Calgary, AB, Canada. The preferred candidate will be an organized, driven, results-focused professional with proven experience seeing research initiatives through to completion.
· Develop R&D strategies: Create plans, policies, and objectives for research and development
· Lead research projects: Manage the design, planning, and implementation of research projects
· Evaluate research: Assess the cost-effectiveness and benefits of research, and interpret the results
· Recommend improvements: Propose new products and services, or ways to improve existing ones
· Monitor trends: Keep up with market trends and competitor activity
· Manage resources: Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget, and manage the resources required
· Lead, mentor, & teach: Serve as subject matter expert for Fusion products/chemistries.
· Liaison: Provide support to our clients as required and attend trade conferences
· Field Trials: Co-ordinate and participate in yard/field trials to ensure effective implementation of innovation into oilfield operations
Four (4) year BSc. in chemistry or chemical engineering degree or in a relevant field such as petroleum engineering is required. A MSc. or PhD. and/or professional designation is considered an asset. A class 5 license with a clean driving record is also required.
