We are looking for you to strengthen our development team of the »APOLLO Blastsimulator«, a specialized CFD-tool dedicated to the simulation of explosions, blast waves, and gas dynamics. The development team is part of our »Materials and Simulation Methods« department in Freiburg..
YOUR QUALIFIKATIONS AND SKILLS
- You have completed a university degree (Master/Diploma) in Engineering, an applied natural science or a related STEM subject, PhDs welcome.
- You have profound knowledge in both fluid and thermo dynamics as well as in numerical methods for CFD and structural mechanics.
- You are able to conduct simulation studies on HPC systems on your own, ideally with OpenFOAM or Ansys Fluent, you have experience in programming (Fortran, C++) and you know relevant IDEs and parallelization strategies.
- You use your ability to think and work analytically and conceptually in a results-oriented manner.
- With your independent, communicative and structured way of working, you enrich the interdisciplinary teamwork of our department.
- German and English language skills of at least C1 level in spoken and written round off your profile.
