JOB DESCRIPTION

The Thompson Center for Autism & Neurodevelopment is pleased to announce the opening of a Research Specialist II position. This position will be working in our Research Core Division and will be assisting with recruitment needs for research studies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience and at least 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

A Master’s degree and experience working with individuals with disabilities or autism spectrum disorder is preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Screen and recruit research participants for a variety of clinical research studies, organize and maintain screening, enrollment, payment and delegation of authority logs.
  • Coordinate research study visits, participate in the informed consent process, perform various research tests and procedures, assist with clinical lab sample collection and processing.
  • Collect and document clinical research data, maintain timely and accurate source documentation in case report forms and electronic data capture systems, develop source documents.
  • Maintain required regulatory documents, prepare and submit Institutional Review Board applications and amendments for clinical research protocols, ensure accurate documentation is provided to local and central IRB.
  • Work with Office of Medical Research to ensure correct charges for clinical research services and other project expensesMaintain inventory of research supplies, kits and laboratory equipment maintenance logs.
