Position Summary
This position participates actively in the execution of research projects and ensure smooth functioning of the lab’s day-to-day activities.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform experiments: cell culture, PCR, antibody staining, confocal microscopy, etc.
- Prepare reagents: e.g. autoclave PBS, aliquot antibodies.
- Help PI to maintain mouse colonies and genotyping.
- Help PI with ordering, lab stock inventory, and maintenance of lab records and protocols.
- Assist lab members for their experiments.
- Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in science or related field required. Master’s degree in science preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years related research experience.
- Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge of research principles, concepts, practices and methods.
- Proficient in specific lab research techniques.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree is preferred.
At least 2 years of wet-lab research experience is preferred. However, recent graduates with a strong passion for biomedical research and an interest in pursuing a PhD or MD are highly encouraged to apply.
