Description:

We are looking for an administrator to join the friendly and supportive Research Strategy and Funding team in the Medical Sciences Divisional Office in the University of Oxford. This is a great opportunity to provide vital support for Oxford’s outstanding and transformative Medical Sciences research. Applicants who are interested in building a career in research support or project management will gain excellent experience of the full range of research activity in the world-leading, internationally-recognised Medical Sciences Division.
In this role you will support the wide-ranging work of the Research Strategy and Funding team. You will have responsibility for administering the internal research funding schemes, supporting external funding bids and supporting the advancement of a positive research culture. You should have previous administration and/or project management experience, strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Good communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to exercise sound and measured judgement and discretion are also important.
This is a permanent role and is available as a full time position, but candidates wishing to work part time at least 0.7 FTE (26.25 hours per week) are welcome to apply. The team operates hybrid working with time split between the MSD Office in the John Radcliffe Hospital (currently minimum 1 day/week on Thursdays) and remote working. If offered on a part-time basis, the team can offer flexibility over the exact hours and days worked.
