A caregiver in this position works Days, from 8:00am—5:00pm
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
- Perform laboratory techniques and procedures required for experimental studies.
- Perform technical lab duties.
- Schedule and perform various analyses.
- Assist with establishing and scheduling various procedures and analyses.
- Prepare reagents, purify chemicals, and identify, separate and quantify various substances.
- Conduct testing and procedures utilizing laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
- Accumulate data from analyses.
- Prepare charts, graphs, statistical tables, publications, grant proposals and applications for research forms.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- High school diploma or GED.
- 2 years of experience in a research or related laboratory environment OR an associate’s degree in a laboratory science field and 1 year of work experience OR a bachelor’s degree.
- Lab bench experience, basic immunology knowledge, and willingness to perform lab maintenance duties (ordering, inventory, etc.).
